Sunnies for sight day

February 25: Slide on some sunnies and make a generous donation so that people who are functionally blind can have their vision checked and be supplied a pair of glasses. The event is the main fundraiser for the International Centre Eyecare Education, which is an Australian-based, notfor- profit organisation involved in blindness prevention and vision correction. Occupation forces reunion

March 20: The third get-together of the British Commonwealth Occupation Forces is at the Burwood RSL, NSW, on March 19 from 10am, with a meet and greet at the same RSL from 3pm. Guest speaker is Robin Gerster, Associate Professor in the School of Literary, Visual and Performance Studies at Monash University. Florence Broadhurst

A Sydney-based TV company producing a film on the late Florence Broadhurst is seeking to hear from any Australian ex-Servicemen who may have stayed with her and her husband Leonard Lewis at their home at Worthing in the UK during WWII.
